How much does it cost to attend the Broadway Teachers Workshop?
Tuition for the 2009 Broadway Teachers Workshop is $649.

How can I get graduate credit?
Participants in the Broadway Teachers Workshop can earn 3 graduate credits through the UNLV Theatre department. There is a written assignment and an additional tuition fee payable to UNLV of approximately $1080. Registration for credits is done on line directly through UNLV once you have already registered and been accepted to the Broadway Teachers Workshop. Get more details.

How do I apply for the Broadway Teachers Workshop?
Fill out an online application OR download a printable version and mail it to the address on the application.

How do I submit my lesson plan or theatre game?
Log on to www.theatreteachers.com to submit a lesson plan or theatre game to share with the group. We have created a profile for the 2010 Broadway Teachers Workshop that will feature all the entries.
1. Go to www.theatreteachers.com
2. Log on (Username: "2010 Broadway Teachers Workshop"; Password: NewYork)
3. Select “Lesson Plans” or “Theatre Games”
4. Click on the “Submit” button and follow the prompts.

Can you assist with accommodations?
Hotel accommodations are unfortunately not included in the Broadway Teachers Workshop basic tuition fee. We are in the process of setting up special discounted rates at Manhattan hotels. See our Hotel Information page for details. We also recommend looking at www.Priceline.com, www.Hoteldiscount.com, www.Quickbook.com and other hotel discounting web sites. Any hotel in the Times Square area will be within walking distance, and virtually any hotel on Manhattan will be accessible by a quick subway or taxi ride.

How will I know I've been accepted into the Workshop?
You will receive email confirmation once you’ve been accepted into the program.

Do you have a waiting list for sold-out workshop sessions?
Yes. There is a waiting list for each sold-out session. Please email Pam Pariseau if you are interested in being placed on a waiting list, including the session you'd like to attend.

Can I bring students to the Workshop?
We offer a student specific, performance driven workshop three times during the school year called The Broadway Student Summit

This summer, we will offer a special Student Summit that coincides with the Teachers Workshop, so teachers may bring student groups and work simulataneously but separately.

Mature students who are intrested in teaching theatre may attend the Teachers Workshop along with their teacher, with written permission from a parent or guardian.  Registration and tuition are the same as for teachers.

What is the basic schedule each day?
We generally start at 10:00am and end at 5:00 or 5:30pm with an hour and a half midday lunch break.

What do I wear to the Workshop?
We suggest that you wear clothes that are comfortable. If you plan to take a dance class, you may want to bring dance or movement clothes/shoes. (Sneakers and sweats are fine too!)

Can my spouse attend the shows with me?
Tickets for the 4 shows are only for Workshop participants. However in the past, we have had many spouses register for the Workshop in order to secure tickets (and admittance to the post show discussions) and they are of course welcome at any workshop session as well. Unfortunately there is no discount for this arrangement.
