Alex Timbers

Alex Timbers has received numerous accolades including two Tony Awards, a Gloden Globe Award, and a Drama Desk Award as well as nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Grammy Award. Timbers received the Drama League Founder’s Award for Excellence in Directing and the Jerome Robbins Award for Directing.

Timbers directed the Broadway shows Just In Time with Jonathan Groff, Moulin Rouge (Tony Award), American Utopia, All Out, All In, Peter and the Star Catcher, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Beetlejuice, Gutenberg! The Musical!, Here Lies Love and Oh Hello!

On television, he co-created the Amazon tv show Mozart in the Jungle and directed John Mulaney’s Netflix specials. He is a graduate of Yale University.
