Matt DiCarlo

Matt DiCarlo is a NYC-area based director.  He directed the world premiere of Mischief’s new play, The Comedy About Spies, currently running at the Noël Coward Theatre in the West End, and will direct the upcoming Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, debuting in London this Fall.  Matt is the International Associate Director for Moulin Rouge! The Musical and works with Alex Timbers to supervise and support the creative maintenance of the production on Broadway and around the world.  He is the US Associate Director for The Play that Goes Wrong and has staged the productions on tour across North America, in Chicago, in Washington DC, and currently running off Broadway at New World Stages.  Matt is currently developing the new musical, The Ladies Man by Justin Mortelliti & Shannon Hunt, and the new play, Yours Truly by Matt Koplik.  As an Associate Director, Matt has also collaborated with Neil Patrick Harris on Tick, Tick…Boom! at The Kennedy Center, with Rebecca Taichman on Sing Street at The Huntington, with John Doyle on the First National Tour of the Tony-winning revival of The Color Purple, and he restaged the Broadway production of Beetle Juice The Musical in South Korea.  He holds a BFA from Rutgers University and is on the faculty at Columbia University. @mattyd0804 | www.matt-dicarlo.com
