Tina Moya

With over 30 years in New York City’s vibrant arts community, Tina brings a deep commitment to the transformative power of arts education. A graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in theater and dance, her favorite performing roles include Cassandra in Cats and as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall.

As a teaching artist with National Dance Institute, Tina specializes in delivering high-quality, inclusive dance education and choreography across all grade levels in the NYC public school system. Every year, she conceives, creates, and directs multiple thematic grade-level performances that bring school communities together and appropriately challenge her students to realize their potential. Her work is rooted in the belief that the success of performers begins in the classroom, guided by specific teaching practices.

Tina also teaches with NDI’s Collaborative for Teaching and Learning, a program designed to share a unique pedagogy of joyful, rigorous dance and music education with teachers and organizations worldwide.

She is particularly passionate about inclusive practices in the arts, with a focus on working alongside dancers who identify as having disabilities. Through NDI’s DREAM program (Dancers Realize Excellence through Arts and Movement), Tina helps create collaborative performance environments where children with and without disabilities come together, celebrating ability,

individuality, and expression.
